Eric "J.R" LaChappa is one of the fourteen playable Counselors within the Friday the 13th: The Game where he has the classic movie role of "The Nerd" who will try to survive Jason Voorhees killing spree.

Eric "J.R" LaChappa can be unlocked at level 10.

As part of the KickStarter campaign, certain high tier backers could get their likeness included in the game. One such generous backer was Eric J.R. LaChappa. Lachappa's worst three stats are Stamina (2/10),Speed (3/10), and Strength (3/10).

Backstory

In an unknown timeline during a counselors meet up at Camp Crystal Lake where it leaves us with the Nerd Eric LaChappa along with his fellow teenage companions, heading to the Camp where strange events occur and leads a helpless bunch of teenagers meeting up with the supernatural serial killer Jason Voorhees, and where Eric will try to survive Jason's bloodlust killing spree at the Camp.

• Challenge Six: Snuggle by the Fire: Upon sitting around the camp fire with Eric telling about the legend of Jason with Chad Kensington adding to it by talking about Pamela Voorhees and Jason Voorhees, and when A.J Mason gets scared it sets off the events, which has Eric walking around the small island and when he stops at the Dock behind the Motorboat where Jason uses the propeller to shred Eric's face.

• Challenge Ten: Vacation Party: Eric gets lucky and has sex with Tiffany Cox Twin Sister, during a trigger scene as he is shown walking down the stairs and bragging to Chad Kensington about the situation and then prepares to get some wine for the congratulations on getting laid that night, only to get killed by Jason Voorhees by a corkscrew to the hand and a Clever to the face which is the exact manner Jimmy "Jimbo" "Mortimer (Crispin Glover) dies which is homage and node to Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.

Eric "J.R." LaChappa is a chubby (heavy set) individual who wears glasses and has a somewhat of a shaggy bowl cut, wears a Brown shirt and blue pants.

• His appearance is based on one of the highest Kickstarter backers of the game.
• Eric and Deborah are the smartest counselors in the game. (Not including Tommy Jarvis!)

• Eric LaChappa is based on the Youtuber/Streamer known as TonyPizzaGuy who is the first Native American in the franchise. (Non-Canonically the first Native American outside the comics but in video games.)
